Who we are

Tifo is made by Tifo Leagues, a small independent team. This policy covers the Tifo app and tifoleagues.com.

The best way to reach us about anything on this page is legal@tifofootball.app. We answer every one.

What we collect

Your email address. It signs you in and lets us contact you about your account. We never store a password, because there isn't one - you sign in with a one-time link or code sent to your email.

The football you record. The teams you follow, the matches you mark as attended, the grounds, the scores, and the stats we work out from them.

A home town you type in. Used to estimate how far you travelled to each ground, and to show you games near you.

What we don't collect

We do see anonymous, aggregated install and crash figures from Apple's App Store Connect and Google's Play Console. Those come from the platforms themselves, cannot be traced back to you individually, and depend on the analytics settings on your own device.

Who can see your data

Your account is private. Friends are mutual - you both have to accept before either of you can see anything. Once you are friends, they can see the matches you are attending and your stats, which is the point of the feature.

Nobody else sees any of it. We look at an individual account only when you ask us to, for instance if you email support about a problem.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your data. To anyone. Ever.

Your account and your football data are stored with Supabase, who host our database in Ireland - inside the European Economic Area, and covered by European data protection law. They only ever process your data on our instructions, never for their own purposes.

Fixtures, results and league tables are fetched from football data services. That traffic only goes one way: we ask them for match information, and nothing about you is ever sent.

How long we keep it

For as long as your account exists, and no longer. We do not keep a copy after you leave.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from Profile › Manage account › Delete account.

Deletion is immediate and permanent. Your matches, stats, friends and account are removed from our live database there and then - there is no grace period, no recycle bin, and we cannot get any of it back for you. Please be sure before you tap it.

One exception, so this is completely straight with you: Supabase keeps encrypted backups of the database in case the whole thing ever has to be recovered after a failure. A copy of your data can survive in those backups until they are overwritten, which happens on a rolling window of a few days. We never use them to bring back a deleted account, and nobody goes looking through them.

You can also email legal@tifofootball.app and we will do it for you.

Your rights

If you are in the UK or EU, you can ask us to show you, correct, export or delete your data, or to stop certain processing. Email legal@tifofootball.app and we will sort it within a month.

If you think we have got it wrong, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Children

Tifo is for ages 13 and over. If you are under 13, please don't create an account. If you believe a child under 13 has one, email legal@tifofootball.app and we will remove it.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top, and tell you in the app if the change is a significant one.
